First, some good news: I have a short story titled “The Red Angel” which will be in an anthology titled the Vampire Connoisseur coming out early 2021 by the Nightmare press. I read an excerpt here. I will update with the official listing when the book is out.

Pagan Advent

From December first to the solstice, the blog Pagan Advent posts a short daily practice. It is probably too late to start from the beginning, but you can jump in any time. I have been doing the prayer and meditation daily and find it quite rewarding.

Reviews Update

I have decided on a rule that I will not review anything by the same author/creator for a full year, even if its in a different medium. For example, because I reviewed 3 Pagans and Cat and the Around Grandfather podcast, I won’t review the you tube 3 Pagans on Tap because it has Carr and Sarenth Odinsson. I have also decided to expand my podcast category to be “other” and include shops. My review of Magus Books is the shop review for December.

With Covid raging, everything indicates this winter is going to suck. I am definitely feeling pandemic fatigue and just wish I could meet up with my friends to go out to eat at a restaurant I miss, or have a writing group meet up in person. But that isn’t happening right now, and we are all just going to have buckle up and endure. I would like to use my blog space to bring some attention to small businesses that offer unique items to help bring some joy. I have also uncovered the awesomest of awesome geek podcasts, that is (fortunately or unfortunately) 300 episodes long, so it will take me a while to get through it. For now, I am going to commit to doing one book review and one other review a month.

For blog posts this month, with the season of monetary sacrifices to the gods of American consumerism upon us, I am going to make a light commitment of 1 blog post a week. I will keep up with regular items, like the Journey to Paganism series, but won’t commit to doing more than those this month.

Stay safe everyone. Enjoy the season.
